C-CARE welcomes the recognition by COP 28 (UAE) of “…the important role of indigenous peoples, local communities, cities and civil society… in addressing and responding to climate change”

In our concept of Local action for Global Impact, and in line with our objective to promote alternative energy solutions, the acknowledgement by the meeting of the parties of the need to invest in clean energy technologies provides hope for our target rural communities. Rural farm communities in Cameroon can also build low-carbon economies.

This position was stated by board members during the 1st statutory board meetings for the year 2024. The meeting held on 23 February 2024.
